For U that dont know about this.....R.Kelly raped girls as young as 13 and video taped it. I love his music, but do U think he should go to jail for the horibal thing he done?

Yes. He's a molestor. It's illegal to have sex with underaged girls. After someone said the six year delay is up he probably said " Six years... That sounds sexy".

yes and no. people forget that he was married to aliyah when she was underage. why is it okay one time and not another? sex with children is sex with children. He should have gone to jail for sleeping with her and the other incident would not have happened!

they waited to long its been like 5 years and the girl is over 20 now. She doesn't care because I'm sure she got hush money. If the victim doesn't care and doesn't want to testify about it how is he going to be charged with anything.

Actually if he Raped them,then I think he should be hung. Unfortunately the US has become a country that coddles real criminals,so I guess jail will have to do.

If he did really do it, then yes, most definitely...for a very, very, very long time, and in a place where he can find lots of new boyfriends.
I question his guilt, however. First of all, the woman that the prosecutors say was the 13-year old girl in the video, denies that it's her. The very person who supposedly was raped, says she wasn't...makes me wonder. Also, the videos that they say show him doing these deeds, don't show the attacker's face. My understanding is that there is no way to identify who it actually was. On top of that, Mr. Kelly and his lawyers claim that he has (and has obviously always had) a birthmark on his back, which doesn't appear on the man in the video. Again, it makes me wonder. I absolutely would NOT want to be on the jury, as I would never want to see the video. But it would be interesting to have access to the rest of the evidence, just to know for myself, one way or another. |

if R Kelley has been arrested for a crime he should be tried by a jury of his peers and if convicted based on evidence he should be sentenced by a judge to a sentence fitting for the nature of the crime he has now been convicted of. when we start wanting people to be put in jail right from the start we flip the entire judicial system on its head and take away the rights of the wrongfully accused just because we are mad at someone being raped/harmed. If R. Kelly didn't do this and it was another person who looked like him, then we create 2 crimes where there was just 1 to start. If in fact he is convicted of child rape,and/or rape at all, I would enjoy hearing that all of his useful organs were harvested and the remaining carcass was used as animal feed (I know it is a little harsh, but anyone who rapes a 13 year old and tapes it can't be rehabilitated,however they can be recycled.
