So I call my case worker to make an appt to be seen after mailing in al of my info for food stamps. He then tells me that my husband and I will have to come in for fingerprints. I said wait what? How in the hell is that legal? So I look it up online and it is fraud prevention based on biometric technology. Ok I get the fraud prevention but does anyone else see this as a violation of the 4th amendment? No way in HELL am I giving the state my fingerprint without having committed a crime. I feel like I am being treated like a criminal when I haven't done anything! Am I wrong? I understand what they are saying but I also know that the state and government is slowly taking away our rights as individuals. I guess I could sue the state but we know how far that would get me. Well I guess my family will starve and I guess I won't be having any more kids either seeing as how they want to make a national database of my childs DNA with out informing me too. What is our world coming to?
